job description: everything from design to production to holding the client's hand and everything in between. preference goes to those who can work multiple days in a row, that you are not yo-yo-ed from project to project, but instead can sink your teeth into the good stuff. and the stuff IS good. internship ends end of semester, or until we kick you out (which, based upon actual experience has been up to a year-and-a-half or until you are hired. no guarantees: this is the real world.)
about us: good design for good clients, for more than 20 years. check out marcenglishdesign.com to see if how you think/work/live fits in with what we do. be sure to check out the RANT section of our site and read the bit about portfolios and getting your foot in the door. we have no time to teach the fundamentals of design, but instead will teach the fundamentals of operating in the real world. we've had several interns move to austin from out of state, from across the mississippi, but are also open to those in the neighborhood.
about you: sharp, smart, capable designer that knows the tools of the trade. a can-do attitude, ready to seriously rock and roll. your résumé is set neatly, with no stupid gimmicks, and your portfolio shows what you have learned to date and indicates the direction you would like to head. no room for prima donnas or the meek, as we're a team with team players ready to contribute at every level, as will you. sound good?
