S Design Inc., an Oklahoma City based graphic design firm, is seeking a talented senior designer with 6 - 10 years of experience to join our team. This position is the equivalent of an art director position. Oklahoma City is one of the most recession-safe cities in the U.S., and the low cost of living is an added bonus.
Our senior designer should have a mastery of InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Experience with Dreamweaver, flash and html is helpful. We want team members who can adapt to new software, as well as techniques and styles. Our office is Mac based and utilizes Clients & Profits for project management.
This position requires management of creative staff and project management, and our senior designer reports directly to the principal/creative director. Our team works closely together to create thoughtful and beautiful design. Project descriptions range from simple production projects to conceptual work for brand identity systems, logos, stationery systems, invitations, brochures, newsletters, annual reports, information design, event promotion, and other materials. Our designer must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, manage multiple projects from start to finish as needed and work well with others in a team environment. Projects must be produced on time and in budget. Attention to the smallest detail is a must.
At S Design our designers often work directly with the client, so excellent oral and written communication skills are a requirement. Designers must be good listeners and be able to provide a high level of customer service.
We believe the design process is exactly that, a process. Daily responsibilities may involve any aspect of the design process, from initial meeting to final production of work. This can include but is not limited to research, brainstorming, sketching, design development, design implementation, copy writing, typesetting, illustration, photo manipulation, proof reading and design production. You should be efficient, flexible and innovative.
